Xbox One controller affecting multiple Places?

Hi,

I'm new to using Aster, and trying to play games with my wife side by side. Today I tried launching the game Spiritfarer to play with keyboard + mouse while she would use my Gen1 Xbox One controller (with USB receiver) to play Spyro Reignited on Steam. The problem is, Spiritfarer will switch from controller to KBM and back just by using a device, regardless of the settings.

I thought, since I set the controller's USB stick to place2, that'd take care of it, but it still seems to affect games on place1.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with input device prioritization. Make sure that each game is configured to recognize its respective input method. You might also want to check the controller settings in Steam and Aster to ensure they are correctly assigned to the right place. If the problem persists, consider checking for any software updates for both Aster and your controller.

I had a similar issue with ASTER a while back. In my case, Steam Input was the culprit—it was grabbing the controller for both sessions. Disabling Steam Input for the affected game and making sure each game was launched on the correct ASTER workplace fixed it. If that doesn't help, sending a technical report to ASTER support is probably the best next step since they can check your specific configuration.
